The scholarships carry a value of up to EUR 1,468 monthly (increasing) per PhD candidate. They have a time span of three years and will be granted already this year through an international tender. The scholarship holders will be tutored by Professor Horst Albach, Professor Heribert Meffert, Professor Ralf Reichwald and Professor Andreas Pinkwart (Dean of HHL) as well as the other HHL-Professors. The graduation topics will be based around central areas of economics in the 21st century: The Role of Trust in Firms and with its Stakeholders, Change Management in Firms and Markets, Health Care Economics and Management of Health Care Institutions, Urban Dynamics: Cities and Firms in Global Competition. Furthermore, the scholarship holders will receive a grant to help cover printing expenses of the publication of their graduate thesis if they graduate with “summa cum laude”. www.hhl.de/casim
Center for Advanced Studies in Management (CASiM)
CASiM is an inter-divisional research center at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management for business administration of the 21st century. The entire know-how of different branches of business administration comes together in the four thematic blocks “The Role of Trust in Firms and with its Stakeholders”, “Change Management in Firms and Markets”, “Health Care Economics and Management of Health Care Institutions”, “Urban Dynamics: Cities and Firms in Global Competition”.
CASiM is closely interlinked with HHL’s main focuses – on the one hand in research through the professorships and other centers, on the other hand through the personnel. Members of the Executive Board of the Center include the doyens of German business administration Professor Horst Albach (former Professor of the Faculty of Business Administration at the Humboldt University Berlin and Honorary Professor at HHL), Professor Heribert Meffert (former Professor and former Director of the Institute for Marketing at the Westphalian Wilhelms University Münster and Honorary Professor at HHL), Professor Andreas Pinkwart (Dean and Chairholder of the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship of HHL), Professor Ralf Reichwald (former Professor of the Technical University Munich, Academic Director of the Research Center CLIC at HHL).
